Through the years 23 men and women have earned the distinct honor of being named to the Revere High School Hall of Fame. Their pictures are proudly displayed above the doors of our theater in the High School.  These alumni have made their mark on history in ways ranging from accomplishments in the field of Medicine to the Arts.  The tradition of Excellence has been built by Revere students who had vision.  Today we honor one such former student Dr. Jacqueline Bresnahan.  Dr. Bresnahan graduated from Revere High School in 1965, and moved on to Kent State where  she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1968.  In 1970 she earned a masters degree followed by a PhD in Physiological Psychology from The Ohio State University. Jacqueline our Hall of Famer has a passion to help others through her research and work with spinal cord injuries. She has been published countless times and her credentials are incredible.  The goal of her work is to provide a frame work for developing treatment to limit the damage to the spinal cord after injury and to enhance recovery from this devasting injury.  Jacqueline is married with 2 daughters. She is presently an Associate Dean for Basic Research and a College of Medicine Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at The Ohio State University.

Her nominator states that:  It is through the efforts of dedicated researchers and teachers like Dr. Bresnahan that we will someday find a treatment for the regeneration of tissue that brings a new life to those who have lost motor and sensory function due to accidents or strokes.  Jacqueline has made her mark on history with the final chapters still to be completed.

It is with great pride I introduce to you Dr. Jacqueline Bresnahan, Class of 1965.
