Presenter:
In her thirty-five years of service at the Revere Middle School, this wonderful lady has represented the epitome of this award: she delivers a vital role, but is content to do so out of the spotlight and in the background. She does her job, not for the accolades, but for the kids. As the parent of three children who came through the Revere schools, she was very active as a Revere Band parent.
She tried to talk us out of giving her this award, but we would not accept her reason that there were much more deserving recipients of this honor. She spoke of the “worthy, experienced and respectful” educators who students would “remember with appreciation and fondness when they saw their picture in the hallway.” She said that the people here at Revere are like her family. It is for these exact reasons that she is an ideal candidate and why we are today honoring Mrs. Angie Cardina. Accepting on her behalf is Revere Middle School principal, Mr. Frank Surace.
